Dr. K. Bruce Elliott, Chiropractor
For over 40 years, thousands of people in the Guelph area have turned to Dr. Bruce Elliott for relief of their acute and chronic pain. His patients' appreciation for his dedication to their well-being was recognized when he was selected to receive the first Guelph Mercury Readers’ Choice Award, and again when his clinic received the first Guelph Tribune Readers' Choice Award.
His interest in chiropractic began at a young age. He saw how a chiropractor was able to help both his mother and uncle, after medicine had failed.
His commitment to chiropractic doesn’t just stop at the treatment level. He is dedicated to the development of the next generation of chiropractors.He is a major donor to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and completed a five year term on the Board of Governors of the CMCC – the same college that he graduated from with the highest mark in his class, and the award for the highest proficiency in x-ray.
Dr. Elliott is also a founding member of the Occupational Health Society of the Ontario Chiropractic Association and a past president of the Wellington Chiropractic Society. He has appeared on several TV shows, and lectured on spinal fitness, exercise, chiropractic and injury prevention.
Dr. Elliott’s wife Brenda was Guelph-Wellington’s first woman MPP and an Ontario cabinet minister. Of their four children, Jenny, Jim, Dan and Greg, Jenny has followed in her father’s footsteps and joined him in practice.
Dr. Elliott is a keen outdoors man, and is a founding member of the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
He has ably served the community through Big Brothers and the Kiwanis Club and helped establish the Optimist Club of South Guelph.
