                                                Dr. Matthew Longo, Chiropractor

Dr. Matthew Longo was born and raised in Guelph. He developed a passion for chiropractic while being treated for sports injuries growing up. As chiropractic treatment helped him with his injuries and improved his physical well-being, he decided to pursue chiropractic as a career so he too may help others.

Dr. Longo started his 8 year post secondary education at the University of Guelph graduating in 2007 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics.  He went on to study at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, graduating cum laude with clinic honours and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in June, 2011.

Throughout his 4 year program at CMCC, Dr. Longo completed outside studies to further his education, training, skills and knowledge. He has become a certified Kinesiologist, a certified Clinical Acupuncture provider, a Graston Technique provider, and is trained in both Upper Limb and Spine modules for Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.). Dr. Longo continues to read, take seminars and keep current on all therapies that may be significant to his patient’s.

Dr. Longo is an active athlete and has played on various competitive sports teams over the years within the city of Guelph. His main sport was baseball in which he played for the Guelph Jr. Royals and the University of Guelph Gryphons varsity team. He is also a member of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

As Dr. Longo’s interests include physical fitness, athletics and living a healthy lifestyle, his ultimate goal is to use his chiropractic skills combined with Soft Tissue Therapy, Acupuncture and Rehabilitation to achieve optimal quality of life for his patients.
