Neil Boon Physiotherapist


Neil is an experienced physiotherapist with 15 years of practice in a multidisciplinary sports medicine centre, treating a diverse clientele of sport, workplace and motor vehicle accident injuries.  He is well versed in treating acute traumatic injuries as well as chronic and degenerative conditions.
Neil developed an interest in physiotherapy following a few significant sports injuries and surgeries, sustained playing hockey and lacrosse. Born in Fergus and later moving to Guelph, he played his minor sports locally and went on to play in national men’s championships in both field and box lacrosse.
As a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Neil completed his physiotherapy degree with honours and at the top of his class. He continued his passion for lacrosse through university, playing for the Queen’s varsity team through all years of his program.  Neil remains passionate about sports and athletics, and is now immersed in coaching his two young sons in both lacrosse and hockey.
Neil is a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and is also certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Inc.  He is proficient in the provision of treatments including spinal and peripheral mobilization and manipulation, exercise prescription and progression, myofascial release, acupuncture and other physical modalities (shockwave, laser, ultrasound, neuromuscular stimulation, interferential current, etc).
